The new Austrian Non-Schengen Lounge at Vienna Airport was opened today, Thursday. With a modern design concept, the lounge offers first-class service, high-quality cuisine and a high degree of privacy for its guests.
As part of the ongoing Terminal South expansion, the Non-Schengen Lounge has temporarily moved to the area of the former Gates G01 and G03 on Level 3 in Terminal 3.
The new lounge is characterized by high-quality furniture and improved privacy for up to 800 guests per day. In addition to the existing food offering, a serviced coffee house area with coffee and cake specialties has been set up, which enriches the lounge experience and perfectly rounds off the Austrian culinary experience.
For the first time, Austrian will be introducing automated access control to the lounge, which also includes accompanying persons. In the future, access will also be possible via the “Star Alliance Biometrics Entrance” system.
However, this new lounge is a temporary solution and will operate until the planned completion of the South Terminal Extension at Vienna Airport in 2027. After completion of the construction work, the Austrian Lounges will move to a new, centrally located and significantly larger area.
