From July 1, 2024, an electronic entry permit (ETA-IL) will be required for entry into Israel for Austrian, German and Swiss citizens, among others.
This permit is valid for 2 years from the date of issue and allows a stay of up to 3 months. The costs are expected to be 25 Israeli shekels (approx. 6 euros). The new entry regulations apply to all foreign citizens who are exempt from the visa requirement.
